Surprisingly I think that Macbeth is sort of interesting. Even though you can't understand half the things they say, when you go over it and sort of translate it into something you can understand it's a really good story. I think it's kind of funny that towards the beginning of the play, Macbeth seems like this brave, honorable warrior and then when some random witches say he's going to become Thane of Cawdor and King he becomes this greedy sort of character. Once he becomes Thane of Cawdor, he suddenly wants more power and is willing to kill the King to get it. Also, his weaker side is revealed when he allows his wife to convince him to kill the King. It was a bit stupid of him to do all the work while Lady Macbeth sat back and watched everything unfold.

I also think Macbeth is intriguing. Romeo and Juliet was so bad Freshman year, and I expected the same thing with Macbeth. That is not the case. I like the murder of the King and confusion that goes along with it. It adds an investigative element. I agree with Erica. Why does Macbeth suddenly get greedy and feels like he must be king? Lady Mabeth is mysterious and I feel like she might have a trick up her sleeve. I don't think Macbeth will get away with this and he will eventually be killed. The play is good so far.

So far I think that Macbeth is alright after we go over it and translate what it means. I don't understand why Macbeth and Lady Macbeth kill King Duncan because it doesn't necessarily make Macbeth the king. Didn't King Duncan say that Malcom would become the next king? I don't think that it is Macbeth that is becoming greedy I think that it is more Lady Macbeth than it is Macbeth.

I agree with Erica that Macbeth is interesting. Normally I hate plays and although I can't understand any of the words, it's still interesting. It really helps to understand it when we go over what is going on in each scene. I really don't know why Macbeth and Lady Macbeth want to become King and Queen so badly. I guess we will find out in the last act and I am looking forward to it.

I think that Macbeth is pretty good so far. The story itself is good, the only problem I have with it is the fact that we have to translate everything before we can understand it. Other than that, Macbeth has been good. The three witches add some mystery to the story, and I think that helps, especially now that we have found out about Lady Macbeth and Macbeth killing King Duncan. Like Evan, I don't understand why killing King Duncan resolved anything. If Macbeth believed so strongly in what the witches said, then why didn't he just let things happen the way that they were supposed to. That is really the only question I have about the story.

I think Macbeth is intersting, as well. It has a good plot and keeps me excited. The language makes it hard to understand though. When we read it in class i have trouble following because i do not understand what the characters are saying half of the time.
