Stupid Fights

This week we are reading "Get Up and Bar the Door." It is a short ballad about a stupid fight that a married couple gets into. The most common argument that my wife and I get into is based on temperature. I remember driving to Indiana during the winter last year. I believe we were driving for Christmas. Well, about ten minutes into the drive my wife cranked the heat up as high as it would go. Granted she had her winter coat on, and I only wore a t-shirt. Immediately I turned it all the way down. Then she turned it all the way up and I turned it back down. This went on until we were both screaming at each other over the temperature. Stupid right, but my guess is we have all had fights like this. Tell a story about some stupid argument that you have had. Please change the names of the people involved. I'd hate for someone to be embarrassed.

My dad and I used to get in a lot of stupid fights when I was younger just because of the simple fact that I messed with him all the time. I remember one time when we got in a fight becuase kept moving the seat in his car. He claimed that it would take him weeks to find his spot again.

When my mom folds laundry it is perfect. One time she had me do it and i guess it wasn't perfect so she made me re-do it and she was making a big deal about it.

I get in lots of stupid fights with many people, most of the time someone is joking, but not always. My sister and I ofter get in fights over if she wore my clothes or I wore hers and the funny thing is that we both almost always have eachothers clothes on and it shouldn't matter. Another thing is my parents yell at me whenever i wrap presents because they say that it looks bad and I refuse to listen to their instructions on how to wrap gifts. By now they have relized I do not care and it is no longer a problem...they still get mad sometimes but...

Everybody gets in about the same basic stupid fights but one of the ones my mom and I used to always get into was about the house phone. Whoever uses it last has to put it on the charger and i always would forget. Then, that means whoever goes to use it next a) the phone is dead and b) no one can find it. Now no one uses the house phone cause everyone has a cell phone so its not a big deal now but still- its stupid.

Everyone has their own stupid fights. One that always comes up in my family is who should let the dog out. We all love our dog very much but constantly have little fights about whos turn it should be. We use stupid little reasons as to why it should not be us who has to get up.

One time me and my friend shmames and i argued over who would win in a fight, Batman or Superman. The obvious choice would be Superman, but it would be false. In a fight Batman would wipe the floor with Superman. Well, it got so heated that we started submission wrestling and the one who gets submitted first has to admit the other is right.

One argument that I frequently have with my mother is over laundry. She is always yelling at me to do this. I never want to do it,but eventually she finds a way to make me do it. I hate laundry.

My sister and I used to fight all the time about wearing each others clothes. She would get mad at me because I didn't put her clothes back where they went or fold them the way she liked. Now she is at college so we dont have that problem as much.

I once got in a fight with one of my friends over who was better at basketball. we agrued for like thirty minutes over stupid things like who was faster, stronger, and smarter. Then we relized the simple solution was to play each other. We both felt so stupid arguing over it because we forgot that we could just play each other...For those interested i was better and i killed him when we played.

So in the winter it gets REALLY cold in my basement if we leave the door open because it leads up to my garage. I hate when people leave the door open because I'm the one who suffers because my rooms in the basement and i freeze my butt off. One day, someone left the door open and my mom was yelling at me to keep the door shut. Funny thing was she was the last one to go upstairs and she left it open but she didnt believe me so we fought over that for several minutes until she realized she was wrong for once.

One time, i was all snuggled up in bed, lights off, falling asleep, when my sister yells through the wall, "Turn off the hall light!" We yelled and yelled for about 5 minutes. She left in on because she was in bed last. So i said that i would turn it off if i our dog could sleep in my room not hers that night. It was dumb.

My little brother and I were playing call of duty 4 together, and as i was beating him senseless, he decides to take my controller and throw it across the basement. this is when i took him by his head and threw him across the basement. he decides to try to fight back but i throw him down many of times.

One time my friends and I got into a fight over who was going to wear what clothes. Eventually we were all arguing until it got out of hand. Then we all realized that why we were fighting was pointless and stupid.

Yeah i have pretty dumb fights with my sisters or my freinds. I actually got into an argument with my friend about an hour on who would buy the tickets for the concert online, we always go to concerts and you have to get them like as soon as they go on sale so you can get good seats or before they sell out. She eventually ended up agreeing to pay for them when they go onsale since i bought our tickets last time.

Many of my friends own guns, including me. The three of us who own World War 2 rifles will sometimes quarrel over which rifle is better, the Mosin Nagant, the K98, or the Enfield. Each of us own at least one of these rifles and we will argue over the qualities of the rifle. In the end though, we all usually just agree that it is a preference rather than one gun actually being better. However, we usually end up agreeing that the K98 is a very nice rifle.

Unknown said...

Whenever my friends and I hang out we always try to decide where to go or what to eat. No one ever wants to make a decision so we always fight over who should make the decision rather than where we should go. Its pretty pointless but someone always comes through and makes the decision.

A lot of times my brother and I fight over who has to drive. We both have cars, but when we go to family events its tradition for us to have sibling bonding on the drive to wherever we're going. But, we constantly argue over who is going to drive, being we both are lazy and don't want to waste our gas. It's pretty commical being the main reason we fight is we are both just too lazy to drive.

I always always always always fight with my twin sister keara we fight about every single possible thing you can think of.
One time we fought about like a sock and it got out of hand and we started throwing eachothers stuff out of the window then realized it was really dumb and then we were cool again like two seconds later.

My sister and I alway fight with my mom about dinner being ready on time. We like to eat at exactly 5:00 and if it is not ready by then, even just 5 minutes after 5, we start yelling at her about it and then she yells back about how she has been working and cleaning all day and then it starts a huge arguemnet. This actually occurs very often.

I think that the most common fight that i find myself running into is i dont care you pick. Me was my boyfriend offten get into this fight a lot. A few months ago we wanted to go to the movies. So i told him that i didnt care what movie we saw and for him to pick the movies. He then said that he didnt care either and for me pick. This mormal continues on for an hour or so untill we always decide not to go and to just hang out at someones house. Its stupid right? You would think that we would haved figured out what to do by now.

My sister and I always watch The Office in our basement every week. On our remote, the power button doesn't work. When the shows over we get up off the couch really fast so neither one of us has to turn off the T.V. We always fight about turning it off even if we were the last one upstairs.

So basically me and Kayla always fight about every little thing possible..like this one time when we were both on the computer and i asked her to type in something because she was closer to the key board, she started getting a tude with me so of course i got one back, then i told her to get out of the chair and she then begin to kick me and scream at the top of her lungs.

My parent's love my brother, they seriously idolize him over everything he does. You may think its only because I'm jealous but no, really, they do. I always help my mom out around the house so one day when my mom asked me to unload the dishwasher, I suggested that my brother do it instead because he was sitting there doing nothing. It turned into a huge argument and of course I ended up doing it.

I was playing halo with my brothers like always. And my younger brother decided to say that he was better than me. I played him and dominated him. He tried to talk more smack after I had already beaten him so i punched him and got in trouble. He still tries to say hes better than me but he knows who's really the boss in the house.

I have been in many stupid fights with my dad and my sisters mainly. When my sister used to live at home we would alwasy argue about how long one of us has been on the computer and who gets to take a shower first. One fight I remember was with my dad. I was watching one of my shows that I like and he came in and changed the channel because my show was "too girly".

This is DREW. One of the most poitless fights I have had was with my sister Padaloo. (AKA, Amy)We were watching TV and I changed the chanle to my show instead of Padaloos. Padaloo got upset because she wanted to watch her show wich was a repeat for the 164th time. So we started to fight over the remote and then I went to the tv set and pushed the power button. then Padaloo turned the tv back on with the remote. I imedetly turned the tv off with the power buton on the tv set. For about 12 minuets the tv was being turned off and on. Finally Padaloo decides to just go upstairs and use the tv in the family room. I grab the remote and change to Video 2 to play video games. That is the most pointless fight I have ever been in with my sister Padaloo. (Padaloo is actually Amy Sorensen) :)

I've been in a lot of arguments about music with my friends. We always argue about different bands and why they are bad or why they are good, but it never goes anywhere because neither side is about to change their taste in music. It is really a stupid thing to argue about, but we still argue over it fairly often.

The dumbest fight I have ever been in was with my older brother. When i was in the third grade, i remember playing a video game with him. He killed me in the game which made me very angry. On top of that he started rubbing the fact that he was winning in my face. I started yelling at him and we began arguing. The argument ended with us hitting eachother. Fortunately we didn't let the fight get between us. Now that we are both older and have matured, we are very close.

I have been in many stupid fights. My mom and i usually get into fights about who was the last person to use something. These fights usually start because the last person to use it doesnt put it back in the same place as before. While in the moment this fight may seem valid it really isnt because it doesnt matter who was the last person to use it was. The easy fix to this is to just put things back where they belong.

My brother sings really badly and i always tell him to stop but he always ignores me and keeps on singing and that makes me really mad so i scream at him to stop but he just keeps on singing until finally i making him stop by turning off the music and then he usually calls me evil and other stuff tat i dont really care about at all so in the end im the victor MWAHAHAHA!!!!!! im mean yeah.......

I normally will do stuff for John anyways just to be nice to him.

My mom and I always fight over how long I can stay out at night. I will tell her that I will be back at 11:30 but then call her up at 12:00 saying I'm coming home. Then when I get home we always get into this huge argument on me staying out later than I promised and this happens at least once every weekend.

My sister and I get into arguments over whose T.V. show is going to record. Our DVR can only record one show at a time so we constantly battle for whose show is going to get recorded. Most of the time we can work it out by just asking the other person not to delete the scheduled recording but sometimes it turns into a big argument resulting in neither of us getting to record anything.

The most common stupid fights i get into are with my little sisters. They always use my stuff and my oldest younger sister always wears my clothes without asking. I gget really mad about that. Also, my sisters are really particular about where their stuff goes, so if i use something and dont put it back exactly how it was they get really angry.

My mom likes to offten yell at me about stupid stuff. Just this week she wouldn't let me leave for school because there was mud on my shoes. My sister and I always fight about clothes. She claims that she always lets me wear hers, and I think that only I let her wear mine. In the mornings when we are choosing what to wear, we always fight about what certain clothes we can wear of eachothers when really, the fight is pointless because its just clothes.

I have been in many a pointless argument. Usually they involve the usage of words or whether a reference to a movie or some other thing was used correctly. One of the longest arguments I ever had was created because someone referenced a movie that was no one had ever heard of. This spawned many Cha-Cha questions, google searches, and the like. Very stupid, but mildly entertaining.

My Mom and I used to get in a lot of arguments because she would say that i left the light on in the bathroom when i went to bed, but i know it was just left on because i would get up in the middle of the night to use the bathroom and forget to turn it off, yet i would still blame it on her.

It was a tiny little chunk from the table but i argued with him the whole night about it. I was furious.

I have been in a lot of stupid fights and most of them are with my sister. The most stupid fight that I have been in with her is about her taking my socks. To this day, I have had plenty of stupid arguments. The one argument that continues to be very annoying is between me and my mother. My mom has to drive my car every now and then in the winter when my dad takes her car. When she drives my car, she always changes every little aspect of the position of my seat. She does so because she is 8 inches shorter than me. I am never able to get my seat back to normal and this always leads to another stupid argument.

My dad and I have been in so many fights it is funny just thinking about it. Our arguments usually based on the fact that I havent picked up something in the house. I tell my dad that none of my friends do these things and he just is like well you see that car out there its mine.

One of my best friends and I fight a lot mainly over who has better things like who has the better clothes or shoes, and recently the better car. We always compare our things to each others to see who's is better, but neither of us are materialistic kind of people, we just always compete with eachother on everything. It's really stupid and selfish but it is just how our friendship is and our fights never last longer than 5 minutes. We probably shouldn't be fighting over things like that but I mean we're still friends and have been for many years so I guess it's not that big of a problem.

Annoying and idiotic fights happen often. Mostly it is with my mom. A common fight is when I have music on in the car and then she asks me a question. She can barely hear me anytime even without a song playing. In this situation, however, she turns the music off. I hate this. So, before answering her question I turn it back on and then answer. This upsets her because she thinks it is rude, which I guess it is, but I just have to have music on.

I used to fight with my older brother almost every week. Our fights were stupid and never really solved anything. I would argue with him about what channel we were watching or what video game we should be playing. It started as yelling but then ended in a physical altercation. These fights usually ended in me being pined on the ground until my mother came home to yell at both of us. In the end neither of us got to choose what we were watching or what game we were playing because my mother would send us to our rooms for the night without any electronics.
